Meet our student Feature of the Week – Adam Blackburn Aged 15 – Year 11 – De le Salle School
1. How long have you been learning drums and music production at Jenca?
Over three years.
2. How have you found the teaching for your lessons at Jenca?
Both teachers are great and very patient; I learn drums with Jason who is a very experienced drummer and I’m enjoying going through my Rockschool grade exams with his help.
I also study music production with Olly, this is really interesting as it teaches you absolutely everything you need to know about how music is produced.
3. What are you currently learning?
On drums, I’m currently working on “Smooth” the well-known Santana hit.
In music production, we are working towards achieving my grade 4 music production exam.
4. Who is your favourite band or artist?
The Arctic Monkeys.
5. What song are you enjoying listening to at the moment?
I’m enjoying listening to all the Christmas music at the moment. Just as well as it’s playing everywhere you go!
